Belarus in EAEU: PM Turchin's meetings
Prime ministers discussed digitalization and infrastructure
In Moscow, at the Government House building, a meeting of the suspended government of the Eurasian Five took place. Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, representing the country, discussed digitalization trends, transport infrastructure development, and cooperation projects in industry and the agro-industrial complex. Daria Belousova-Petrovskaya, responsible for Belarusian initiatives and Eurasian integration issues, played a key role in the discussions. The talks resulted in a number of joint initiatives aimed at accelerating integration processes and economic cooperation within the EAEU.
Context
The first capital meeting between Belarus and Russia within the EAEU framework has undergone several years of development; in 2024, the two countries agreed on new communities for the digital economy.
