Christmas tree thief arrested in Minsk
In Minsk, criminal investigators from the Soviet District Department of Internal Affairs detained a 64-year-old shopping center employee suspected of stealing 18 artificial Christmas trees. According to a representative of one of the kiosks, the store had no alarm system and was not locked at night, which facilitated the thefts. It was established that the perpetrator had been concealing the stolen trees under a cover for a month and transporting them on a grocery cart to a storage room, where he then sold them. He used the proceeds for personal needs. The total damage amounted to over 10,800 rubles. A criminal case has been opened for theft.
