1/4 of Belarus territory will remain wild
New nature conservation plan
According to the latest statement by the Government of the Republic of Belarus, one quarter of the country's territory will be designated as wilderness. The plan provides for the establishment of special conservation zones that support biodiversity and protect ecosystems from excessive development. In particular, it is stated that as part of the initiative, some forest and natural areas will be closed to construction and degradation activities.
