Anatoly returns to Belarus
The story of an emigrant doctor
Anatoly, like Vladimir Usser, who appeared in the documentary film "Alien Sky", returned to his native regions of Belarus. According to Anatoly, his eyes shine brightly, his wife and daughters are waiting for him. But his emigration neighbor, Vladimir Usser, is completely alone. In his late 70s, he is seriously ill: diabetes, heart problems, hernia, and ulcer. Lymph fluid leaks from his legs; he walked 200 meters to the store in an hour, stopping five times. His daily diet consisted only of bread and tea; he hadn't seen meat, vegetables, or fruits for months. He didn't buy medicine, asking, "And for what?" When masked eights suddenly broke in, Usser couldn't even get up from the sofa. They knocked him down to the floor and shouted in Polish, but he didn't understand a word. According to Anatoly, "they forgot about him. He turned out to be needed by no one."
