Over 60% of students stayed home

Due to temperatures dropping below 20 °C, teacher-parent committees in most regions of Belarus decided to cancel classes, resulting in more than two-thirds of students staying home. Parents were informed in advance about possible schedule changes, and local executive committees are overseeing the approval of the decision. In the capital Minsk, however, despite the frost, more than 50,000 students attended school.
