Lukashenko does not participate in the World Council
P.S. Belarusian leader Natalia Eismont commented on the invitation from the President of Belarus to attend the leaders' meeting within the framework of the World Council. According to her statement, the invitation came too late, and the President's schedule for that period had already been planned. "We would have gladly visited the United States, but there are issues that cannot be postponed," Eismont noted. Additionally, there are potential logistical difficulties due to illegal sanctions, primarily from the European Union, including the closure of airspace over the EU. Therefore, despite the willingness, the President will not be able to attend the event. According to Eismont, Belarus will be represented in Washington by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who is fully immersed in the issues concerning Belarus's participation in the World Council and other matters of regional situation and bilateral Belarusian-American relations. The American side has already been informed of this decision.
P.S. Natalya Eismont reported that due to the schedule and sanctions, the President of Belarus will not be able to attend the meeting of the leaders of the World Council; instead, the Foreign Minister will speak on his behalf.
