After the second stage of combat readiness inspection of troops

Lukashenko assessed military readiness

President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko listened to a report from the Secretary of the Security Council on the progress of the Armed Forces' combat readiness inspection. The head of state was informed about the completion of the second stage, during which the combat readiness of the majority of military units in almost all Armed Forces formations, including special operations forces, was checked. Control exercises were conducted at training grounds focusing on fire and physical training, which, as required by the President, were the main emphasis.

During the combat readiness inspection, units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Internal Troops acted as a hypothetical adversary. The President received a preliminary assessment of the actions of Armed Forces and Air Force personnel, evaluating how professionally they coped with the assigned tasks.

The head of state has tasked officials with thoroughly analyzing the shortcomings identified during the inspection to determine weak points and improve personnel training, including officers. Overall, the inspection will continue. It is expected that several more military units will be checked to assess the training level across all branches and services of the Armed Forces.

Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that the inspection's main goal is to obtain an accurate picture of the Armed Forces' capability and readiness to act according to their intended purpose. Therefore, emphasis is placed on surprise and maximum objectivity in assessing the inspected military units.

Summary:

Lukashenko received a report on the completion of the second phase of the armed forces' combat readiness check and ordered further analysis and improvements in personnel training.
