Lukashenko approves EAEU amendments
Changes made to the agreement on medical device handling rules
President of the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Anatolyevich Lukashenko, in accordance with Article 3 of the agreements signed within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), approved amendments to the agreement on the rules for the circulation of medical devices. The changes aim to harmonize product requirements and accelerate the procedures for importing and placing products on the markets of EAEU member states. The agreement, which regulates standards and certification procedures for medical devices, will now come into effect on January 1, 2024.
Context
The Agreement on the Rules for the Circulation of Medical Devices in the EAEU was previously signed by all member countries and tightened requirements regarding the safety and licensing of medical devices.
Lukashenko approved amendments to the EAEU agreement on medical device circulation rules, which came into effect at the beginning of 2024.
