Lukashenko awarded diplomas to scientists
Russian science – the key to the future
During the ceremony in Minsk, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko awarded diplomas of doctors and professors of traditional and applied sciences. While presenting the diplomas, he emphasized that 'the main feature of our time is an unprecedented number of innovations' and noted that 'the only way to protect our sovereignty is to increase the productivity of interaction between science, education, and the economy.' He stated that Belarusian science, amid global challenges, demonstrates resilience and is capable of adapting to the development of artificial intelligence, biotechnology, smart agriculture, and new materials. The President highlighted strategic tasks for national science: developing high-tech industries, interdisciplinary research, establishing production schools, and integrating scientific knowledge with the real economy. A priority is reducing technological dependence and increasing the efficiency of implementing scientific discoveries in mass production.
Context
Since 2017, Belarus has been implementing the 'Science Plan 2030,' aimed at developing high technologies and international cooperation in scientific projects.
President Lukashenko presented diplomas to scientists, emphasizing the importance of science for the country's future and the goal of reducing technological dependence.
