Future Professions: Center to Be Created in Belarus

A meeting chaired by the President of Belarus was held at the Palace of Independence, attended by representatives of the government, the Presidential Administration, the National Academy of Sciences, the Minsk City Executive Committee, and leading universities of the country. The main topic was the creation of an educational center focused on training personnel for promising industries.

Economists emphasized that developing an innovation-based economy requires modern educational programs. According to participants, education and science are at a special stage of growth worldwide, which demands new approaches in Belarus.

During the discussion, different opinions emerged regarding the selection of applicants, the location of the center, and its specializations. At the end of the meeting, there was unanimous recognition of the need to create the center, but decisions on details are still being worked out with the involvement of all interested parties.
