Lukashenko: Belarus is not isolated
Growth in exports and tourism confirms the country's openness
President Alexander Lukashenko stated that Belarus is breaking the 'Western' myth about its isolation and seclusion. According to him, trucks with agricultural machinery, dairy and meat products, tires, and components are now regularly transported to countries in the Middle East, Africa, China, and Latin America.
Lukashenko emphasized that any global rankings confirm the openness of the country's ecosystem: Belarus took 48th place out of 220 in the list of the most visited tourist countries. This year, more than 250,000 European citizens arrived under visa-free conditions, personally experiencing Belarus's safety, comfort, and beauty.
The president noted that despite more than half of border checkpoints being closed, the economy continues to develop: 'We have preserved and strengthened strong real sectors, without destroying or squandering the Soviet legacy.'
