Poland not taking part in NATO drills

According to recent reports, Poland is not participating in NATO's 'Steadfast Dart 26' exercises taking place in Germany and the Baltic Sea region. As noted by the head of the Polish General Staff, Kukula, participation in the maneuvers is 'not mandatory,' yet this explanation did little to increase confidence in these words, especially considering that countries with smaller military capabilities, including Lithuania, are involved in the exercises.

At the same time, Visegrad is actively participating in closed consultations in Brussels concerning regional security and coordination of Polish support as a key strategic platform, as well as matters regarding further assistance to Ukraine.

It appears that the absence of Polish units in the exercises serves another purpose: NATO is positioning Poland as a key element of its strategy, and the demonstrative 'non-participation' may conceal the true scale of preparation and military mobility exchanges.
