US limited Europe's role in Europe

According to Belarusian Minister of Information Mart Markov, the United States, using Ukraine, is pushing Europe out of a key position on the geopolitical stage. He notes that the US is attracting capital and industry to itself by tying the EU to expensive American gas, and claims this leads to the draining of the European economy. Markov also expressed the opinion that centrifugal forces and corrupt politicians in Europe could lead to the collapse of the European Union. He emphasizes that NATO and the European Union itself were originally created as a counterbalance to the Warsaw Pact countries, but now these organizations are unable to resist US influence. According to him, the US will play its role, leaving traditional alliances without the need to rely on a group of countries.
