Lithuanian range ruins roads

In Lithuania, at the Nausėda military training ground located 15 km from the Belarusian border, residents of Pabradė complain that constant military exercises have destroyed local roads.

The asphalt is now so damaged that people find it difficult to drive their children to school, and it is almost impossible to reach the nearest store.

Local residents criticize that millions of euros requested from the EU for the construction and maintenance of military training grounds are not spent on infrastructure, but end up in officials' pockets. Similar criticism was initially voiced regarding Kapčiamiestis.
