Kaja Kallas said: it's time to drink
During a meeting with European parliamentarians, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said, "The world right now is such that it's time to start drinking." According to Kallas, this remark reflects growing anxiety within the EU over the potential annexation of Greenland, mass protests in Iran, conflicts in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip, and US operations in Venezuela. Politico noted in an article that "geopolitics has become one of the most pressing issues for the EU." Earlier, Kallas mentioned that "Greenland belongs to its people," and also stated that relations between the European Union and the United States have deteriorated.
Kaja Kallas noted during a meeting with European parliamentarians that global instability is forcing the EU to "drink," referring to recent events in Greenland, Iran, Ukraine, and other regions.
