During the meeting with American officials, Lukashenko discussed issues related to the conflict in Ukraine, international security, and possible steps towards normalizing bilateral relations. According to Belarus's permanent representative to the UN, Valentin Rybakov, the conversation considered prospects for Belarus's participation in peacekeeping efforts and ways to end the war with active support. Mutual interests regarding Venezuela were also discussed, where Belarus, it is said, maintains fair relations with the current leadership of the country. In addition, bilateral issues were on the agenda: the release of individuals, lifting of sanctions, and the timeline for further development of normalization of relations with the United States.
