Lukashenko sets priorities for government

Ordered to halt the industrial decline and clear warehouse backlogs

President Alexander Lukashenko announced that 'right now, the top priority, immediate tasks of the government are to urgently stop the industrial decline and relieve warehouse overloads.' He noted that all key enterprises should be 'literally put under manual control' and 'not allow offloading products from warehouses without cash payment.'

Lukashenko ordered specialists from ministries or state corporations, capable of reviewing the work of marketers, sales departments, and procurement systems, to be assigned to the sites to quickly find new contracts. The head of state further stated: 'The task is one — urgently find new contracts. Then send a signal upward to your minister so that he, together with the deputy prime minister and banks, seeks financial support for exports, especially to new markets.'
