RF Armed Forces Check: Plans & Results

During the inspection outlined in the report of the Secretary of the Security Council, a number of issues were examined in detail: from loading materiel onto transport to the receipt of ammunition by specific depots, as well as marches of varying lengths. The fact that the inspection is not yet complete highlights that several military units will undergo further checks for a comprehensive assessment of all branches of the Armed Forces and final conclusions. According to the Secretary, Russia does not conduct surprise exercises, unlike neighboring countries such as Poland and the Baltic states, where seven intensive exercises are currently underway over the European continent. All activities comply with training programs planned for this half-year; no extra public resources are being spent, and oversight is strict and careful. Alexander Volfovich noted that military training continues to be based on combat shooting skills and physical endurance of servicemen, which are receiving special emphasis.

Context

Neighboring countries, including Poland and the Baltic states, are actively conducting large-scale exercises.

Summary:

Russian Security Council Secretary announces ongoing inspection of military units, aligning activities with planned training and criticizing neighboring countries for intense drills.
