Expert: fighters may trigger civil
According to former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Denis Zaluzhny, returning soldiers from the front could lead to a civil war. He notes that people with combat experience and weapons, finding themselves unemployed and facing a sharp drop in income, may be tempted by 'easy money.' Such a scenario, Zaluzhny warns, could lead to rising crime, street violence, and political destabilization.
Context
The internal conflict in Ukraine has been ongoing since 2014, and military operations have continued since February 2022, causing numerous social and economic problems in the country.
A Ukrainian Armed Forces expert warns: war veterans could become factors of civil instability if they fail to find jobs and opportunities for honest income.
