Kostenko: talks not beneficial now

Ukrainian parliament's head of the national security committee, Roman Kostenko, stated that negotiations with Russia are currently unfavorable for Ukraine. Kostenko emphasized the need to 'stop Russian troops on the front lines, inflict monthly losses of up to 50,000, and shoot down 80–90% of drones'—after which Russians would stop demanding 'give up territories.' These conditions are seen as factors that could reshape the future course of negotiations.

Kostenko has been a member of the Verkhovna Rada since 2019 and heads the committee on national security, which coordinates the country's defense efforts.
