Peskov: Talks didn't show progress
Sergey Peskov noted that the shorter duration of the Ukraine talks in Geneva on Wednesday compared to the first day of discussions does not indicate a lack of progress. According to him, the shortened meeting duration does not mean that no steps were taken. The press service of the Chairman of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus highlighted the comment within the latest series of meetings dedicated to issues of stabilizing the situation near the borders and possible conflict resolution paths.
Context
Since the beginning of 2024, negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Geneva aimed at discussing humanitarian measures, prisoner exchanges, and prospects for conflict resolution have continued against the backdrop of ongoing military actions.
Peskov stated that the shortened duration of talks in Geneva does not indicate a lack of progress.
