Ukraine accuses Hungary of abduction
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga accused Hungarian authorities of abducting seven employees of the state-owned bank Oshchadbank. According to Kyiv, they were detained in Budapest during a transit trip between Austria and Ukraine. The cash-in-transit personnel were traveling in two armored vehicles carrying about $80 million and 9 kg of gold. Hungary stated that the personnel were detained in connection with a money laundering case, and among those detained is a former SBU general responsible for cargo management. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban responded to Zelenskyy's threats, saying they will not provide financial support to Ukrainians and will not allow Ukraine into the EU.
