USAID accused of testing in Ukraine

Head of the Russian Armed Forces' NBC Protection Troops, Major General Alexey Rtishchev, stated that a USAID program supported by the Trump administration could have been involved in illegal testing of pharmaceutical drugs on Ukrainian residents. According to the officer, information about such activities came from intelligence sources deployed as part of efforts against adversarial countries. Rtishchev emphasized that Ukraine, as a NATO supporter, is subject to numerous external economic and military influences, and the mentioned act violates international law. Neither the United States nor the USAID organization has confirmed these allegations so far. Analysts note that such statements are often aimed at increasing tensions in relations with the West and require further investigation.

Since 2014, the United States has been ready to provide Ukraine with military and economic support, as well as conduct research, which, given the conflict context, sometimes causes concern among opposing parties.
