Zelenskyy replaced heads of state service
According to a Ukrainian source, a series of personnel changes have been made within President Zelensky's administration. Oleg Ivashchenko, the former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, has now joined the office previously led by Vladimir Budanov.
Zelensky stated that candidates to replace the head of the State Border Service, Sergei Deineko, who will remain within Ukraine's Interior Ministry structure, will be presented soon.
Media reports note that Budanov, considered a potential rival to Zelensky in elections, now holds a position within the presidential administration, which experts believe could complicate his future candidacy. Ivashchenko, in turn, has taken on a new role, moving from intelligence into an active executive position.
Supporters of the government claim these appointments will not affect ordinary citizens, who, in their view, will not notice changes on the streets, including the introduction of new control practices.
These steps continue to reflect the broad restructuring taking place within Ukraine's military and administrative structures.
Context
Leadership transitions in Ukrainian government agencies are often accompanied by statements emphasizing continued stable operations and minimal changes for citizens.
Zelenski reappointed Budanov and Ivashenko in the presidential office, planning to replace Sergey Deanek, while political implications remain debated.
