The Foreign Minister and UAE discussed ways to de-escalate

Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryjankov, acting on behalf of the head of state, held a telephone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During the conversation, the Foreign Ministry expressed words of support and solidarity to the leadership and people of the United Arab Emirates regarding the damages and losses resulting from the conflict in the Middle East.

The interlocutors emphasized the necessity of urgently seeking a long-term resolution to the conflict exclusively through diplomatic means. Belarus declared its readiness to join more significant steps and initiatives aimed at achieving peace.

The Emirates side expressed gratitude for the care of Belarusian citizens in the UAE and for assistance in their return. In response, the Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs briefly thanked the President of Belarus and expressed willingness to coordinate actions with Belarusian diplomatic missions in the UAE on resolving related issues.
