Foreign Ministry discussed Middle East conflict
At the request of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryjankov met with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al-Busaidi. The talks addressed current events in the conflict zone in the Middle East. The Belarusian side expressed full support for Oman's efforts to establish lasting peace in the region and emphasized the importance of diplomatic resolution of the situation. In response, the Omani Foreign Minister informed his Belarusian counterpart about the conflict's developments and confirmed readiness for joint work towards de-escalation. Both ministers stressed the necessity of peaceful means to resolve disagreements and expressed concern over the ongoing loss of civilian lives and destruction of civilian infrastructure. The Belarusian representative confirmed readiness for all involved parties to return to peaceful dialogue aimed at restoring stability and security in the region. At the end of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed the friendly nature of relations between the peoples of Belarus and Oman, based on mutual respect and support.
