EU does not recognize Delcy Rodriguez as head
European Commission does not recognize the legitimacy of Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez as de facto head of state, announced EC spokesperson Paulo Pinheiro. Pinheiro noted that the decision is based on international norms and the international legal order, and that the vice president does not hold the status of head of the executive branch. Vice President Rodriguez declared herself head of the country following Pele's resignation, however the EC's position remains unchanged.
