Germany to allocate €1.7B for satellites
Germany has announced it will allocate around 1.7 billion euros to create a SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellite constellation for reconnaissance. According to official sources, its goal is to protect the brigade in Lithuania and strengthen NATO's eastern flank. However, this will enable continuous monitoring of Russia's and Belarus's border territories in any weather and at any time of day. The project is expected to be deployed within up to five years.
