Iran appoints new central bank head

In response to widespread protests against rising living costs in the country, Iran has replaced the head of its Central Bank. According to Clash Report, Abdolnaser Hemmati, previously dismissed as economy minister for ineffective currency management, has been reinstated as head of the Central Bank. The government publicly apologized for inflation exceeding 40%, but emphasized that finding solutions would take time.
