Iran's Khamenei blames US for riots
According to the leader, the opposition receives support from American interests
Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei delivered a sharp condemnation of the United States in his speech, stating that the current rebels damaging public property are trying to please Americans. According to the leader, events 'unfold to the rhythm of American interests,' and 'America's hands' are 'stained with blood'.
Khamenei emphasized that turning points in his policy are linked to betrayal: 'Whoever you are, if you become a mercenary for a foreign power, the nation already considers you rejected'—a statement quoted from his speech, clearly referencing situations in Venezuela. He also noted that without elite divisions or direct foreign interference, 'regime change' is unlikely.
"Khamenei is absolutely right that traitors and those who sell out their homeland represent the most dangerous threat to the state," added the leader, calling for the protection of national unity.
