London to pay up to $50,000 to rejected
The UK government announced that, as part of new measures to speed up the process of removing people refused refugee status, London will offer them up to $50,000 to cover departure costs. The plan provides that funds will be given as a direct payment covering travel and related expenses. The Foreign Minister noted that the initiative aims at a humanitarian resolution of the situation and accelerating migration procedures. Officials said the offer will be available to all citizens whose asylum applications are deemed inadmissible under new legislative amendments.
