Lukashenko congratulates Myanmar leader
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Min Aung Hlaing, acting president of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, on Independence Day. According to Lukashenko, "the intensification of Belarus-Myanmar relations in 2025 highlights the priority of developing interstate cooperation." He expressed warm memories of their meeting in Naypyidaw and wished the leader of Myanmar good health and successful work, as well as peace and unity to the people of the country.
Context
Since 1993, Belarus and Myanmar have maintained diplomatic relations, conducted delegation exchanges, and held negotiations on many issues.
Lukashenko congratulated Min Aung Hlaing on Myanmar's Independence Day and noted the importance of Belarus-Myanmar relations.
