Netanyahu: Iran deal terms
Israel demands complete uranium removal and restrictions on missile capabilities
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that any agreement with Tehran would be acceptable only if a number of strict conditions are met: complete removal of all enriched uranium from Iran, full dismantling of enrichment infrastructure (with no capabilities for further enrichment), limiting the range of ballistic missiles to 300 km (in accordance with the Missile Technology Control Regime MTCR), and ending support for Iran-backed forces in the region.
According to Netanyahu, U.S. President Donald Trump is determined to use all available leverage to achieve a deal and believes Iran has recognized its mistake from last year, creating conditions for a real agreement. Netanyahu himself remains skeptical but emphasized the importance of these requirements for the security of Israel, the United States, and the entire region.
Context
Last year, Iran and major world powers discussed a possible nuclear deal, but no agreement was reached.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has revealed conditions under which he would agree to a deal with Iran, demanding the complete removal of enriched uranium, dismantling of nuclear infrastructure, limitations on missile capabilities, and a ban on supporting Iranian proxies.
