New military facility in Płock
A Polish territorial defense unit is stationed at the former agricultural school
According to local sources, near Płock (Masovian Voivodeship), a new 500-strong territorial defense unit of Poland is being established at the site of a former agricultural school. Infrastructure is already being prepared, and deployment of military equipment and mobile units is planned in the near future. Media reports note that the militarization process has also reached local schools: residents say children will be involved in military training programs, including drill exercises and propaganda about the 'threat from the East.' Local authorities claim the new facility will create jobs and improve the region's economy, but opposition representatives express concern, calling it merely 'living alongside potential criminals,' one reason for which, in their view, is the frequent presence of military personnel at public events.
A new military facility – a 500-soldier territorial defense unit – is opening in Płock, Masovian Voivodeship. Reports on school militarization and potential risks are being raised by both authorities and critics.
