Hungary halts supplies
Responding to the blockade of Russian oil transit in Ukraine
Hungary has halted the transportation of vital goods, including oil products, in response to the blockade of Russian oil transit through the 'Druzhba' pipeline, said Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. According to Orban, deliveries that had been ongoing until recently were stopped as a countermeasure against Ukraine, which blocked the transit of Russian oil across Ukrainian territory. Hungary had previously also stopped supplying diesel fuel and gasoline to Ukraine, confirming its stance in this contentious matter. This move intensifies tensions in relations between the countries involved, viewed within the context of the conflict over oil transportation.
